Appearance: Kazuo is a small, black-haired boy with equally coal-colored eyes, standing in contrast with his relatively pale skin. Being so young, he still has a little baby fat around his cheeks, but is otherwise a skinny little kid. Barring the inability to prepare, he always seems impeccably clean.

General Personality Outline: Kazuo is an unusual case, being reserved, quiet, and bookish while most children his age are normally quite active or driven. He has a distaste for children's games that borders on outright hate of them, and the type of people who enjoy them, though he cannot help his love of candies and sweets as much as it pains him to have such a childish quality. He has a strongly apathetic outlook for the world around him, only holding interest in something if it interferes with, or is connected to, his strongest desires; candy and written seals. He is mostly unquestioning, but holds a small rebellious streak towards any authority.

Character Background: Kazuo was born to his parents, Mimaki and Kuzan, as the youngest of three. His brothers, Inchou and Koba, had both graduated close to the time of his birth, so he has grown up with shinobi his entire life. Though his family was sound and happy, he was always, for lack of a better term, 'weird'. When his brothers offered to play games with him, he would refuse, instead pestering them and his parents for new words, or writing lessons. Once he'd learned a sizable vocabulary, he eventually stopped even that, only bothering them now and again for candy.

With the written knowledge of an advanced academy student by the age of six, Kazuo began to pester and bother more and more from his instructors, demanding new knowledge. As he absorbed more and more theory, he eventually discovered the practice of sealing. Faced with the true power of written symbolism, he began to fish for understanding on sealing as innocently as he could, going to family, instructors, even random shinobi if he could see a tattoo on them. His subtle information gathering eventually led to his masterpiece, his first functioning seal at the age of eight.

Using the fragments of knowledge he gained from the limited subjects he could access as a child and word of mouth, he pieced together a working barrier seal in the privacy of his room, applying it's defensive properties to his arm, intending to use it to augment his next spar in the academy by giving him an unbeatable defensive edge that wouldn't display obviously as a jutsu, or so he thought. Needless to say, when the academy instructor saw the effects of a Spying Seal Barrier in the middle of a pre-genin spar, he dragged Kazuo out of the fight and brought in the boy's parents, asking them if would stoop so low as to cheat and give their son an edge when he was clearly faltering in classes. After a long argument and eventual revelation of Kazuo's talents, it was decided that the boy be put on a fast track for advanced prodigies, leading to early graduation. Kazuo himself agreed readily after learning he would have greater access to texts on the subject, and the offer of a sweet reward when he graduated.

Now, at ten, Kazuo has reached the pinnacle of his schooling and it has come with no small amount of infamy that a child his age has learned the arts of sealing. Regardless, he is prepared to graduate, eager to expand his skills in Fuuinjutsu further, and, of course, receive his long-awaited candy reward.

Starting Jutsu:
Quote :
Sekkoufuu Kekkai - Spying Seal Barrier
Skill: Kekai Ninjutsu
Rank: C Rank
Type: Supplementary + Attack
Range: 10 by 10 meter area
Chakra: 14 (to activate)
AP to activate/deactivate after setup: 1
Ap to prepare small sealing tag: 1

Description: When a specific part of the user's body is targeted, this technique is automatically activated. The talismans move to cover the specific body part and form a barrier to protect it. The part of the body must be specified rather specific as the technique will only cover an area as large an arm. If the area is hit any attack of C-rank or below including weapons is blocked and completely negated for any damage it would have done to the area. B-rank weapons and attacks still work at 1/4 their original damage, A-rank weapons and attacks at 2/4 and S-rank weapons and attacks do 3/4 their original damage. One tag per one attack. Tags must be prepared and activated before the attack takes place. This can be done before battle.

Limit:Kekai Ninjutsu C , 1 small sealing tag, Sealing Knowledge 8.
Quote :
Mizuame Nabara - Starch Syrup Capture Field
Skill: Suiton Jutsu
Rank: D Rank
Type: Supplementary
Range: Covers an area of 10 by 10 meters directly in front of the user.
Chakra: 7
AP: 2 (if Seal Knowledge = 6 , then AP cost becomes 1)
Hit Bonus: 2 ( 1 for every 2 points the user has above the target attempting to dodge it)

Description: Suiton • Mizuame Nabara is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Water Element. After forming the needed hand seals, the user will expel a sticky liquid from his gullet. If the target runs on top of the liquid, their feet will become glued to its sticky surface, and it will become difficult to maneuver. If the ninja focuses chakra to their feet before touching the surface, they can hover above and move over it without hindrance. This allows the user or a comrade to charge and attack without fear of becoming bogged down as well. Dodging this technique is not easy and will require considerable supremacy in speed compared to that of the user.

Limit: Suiton Jutsu Skill D (If no Affinity B required)
Quote :
Shunshin no Jutsu - Body Flicker Technique
Skill: Ninjutsu
Rank: D Rank
Type: Supplementary
Chakra: 5
ME: 1

Description: Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement, the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance, this effect is usually achieved by mixing this technique with a area-effect Genjutsu of a lower rank.

Note: This Jutsu allows the user to move twice the distance they normally could with 1 AP and for a one time cost allows the user to use as much AP on this movement as they wish as long as the user moves in a straight line.

Limit: This Jutsu can be used 2 times per in game day, per rank of chakra control that the user possesses.
Quote :
Kawarimi no Jutsu - Change of Body Stance Technique
Skill: Ninjutsu
Rank: E Rank
Type: Supplementary/Modifier
Range: 1 - 10 meters
Chakra: 4
AP: 1

Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. (Object must be present and targeted before use, if no possible objects are present the technique is impossible to use) This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack.
The object or person that is switched with has to at least have a mass equal to the attacked area or evenly large to the character using it. Likewise there has to be a connection between the character and the targeted object, without anything directly blocking the switch.
Example : If character is in a room with no windows and locked armored doors, he would not be able to substitute himself with an object or person outside of that room. Likewise being blinded for example and not being able to visually or otherwise perceive the object one desires to switch with makes the switch impossible.
However if held down in a grapple, rope-tied or even completely encased in a spiderweb with only the face still open, one could still switch if a usable object is within sight. However if fully encased in the web this would become impossible, the web then functioning similar to the room mentioned earlier.

Limit: Ninjutsu Stat divided by 3 decides the amount of times this technique can be used per in game day.
Quote :
Bunshin no Jutsu - Clone Technique
Skill: Ninjutsu
Rank: E Rank
Type: Clone
Chakra: 2 (Per Clone)
AP: 1 (Per every 5 clones)

Description: Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. The Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja without substance. The copy resembles the ninja in every way. This clone can function as a distraction or as means to confuse one’s opponent. As soon the Bunshin gets attacked or comes into contact with an opponent, it will disperse.

Limit: Amount of Maximum Clones equals Intelligence Stat .

Quote :
The day was already bad, the neighbors had already forgotten yesterday’s incident, and took to hiding their children back into their apartments as Keito dashed for the stairs. It usually didn’t bother him, not in the slightest, but today was already the spawn of a string of bad days, and it kind of made Keito a little less joyful that he would be taking the exams today.

He rapidly scarfed down a breakfast at a small stand, paying, and running, before the man could say “Itadakimasu!” Today wasn’t a slack-off kind of day.

As Keito finally made it to the academy, and his final seat for the written exams, he could hear the whispers from the instructor’s desks in the front as he passed. They were going on about how the homicidal lunatic’s kid was finally losing it, and that they hoped he wouldn’t pass.

He took his seat and slumped a bit. Today was a bad day. The instructors passed the tests around and when Keito got his, he was busy twisting his pen around in his fingers, looking depressed. He didn’t stop either, not until the test had been going on for almost 15 minutes.

When he looked down at the questions, he filled them in without so much as a thought, still busy trying not to think about his life, which, he just decided that day, was horrible. He had made the same decision about 3 times in the past month and subsequently forgot, but now that he thought about it again, he wasn’t so sure he’d forget this time.

As he often did, he also forgot he thought that he wouldn’t forget that his life was horrible the other three times either. But these things tend to slip one’s mind often.

As the tests were handed in and he went out to do the taijutsu exam, he couldn’t help but wonder if all those people were right to hide away their children from him.

Karasu was very pleased looking at the exam scores, to say the least. All of his students passed, and Keito did well enough to pass with just that and his taijutsu scores this time. His jutsu exam would be unneeded praise that he still deserved. The students were taking a break, a long break, they had finished the taijutsu examination and there was only jutsu to be tested. To celebrate, Karasu wanted to find Keito and treat him to lunch. There was just one problem...

“What do you mean you haven’t seen him? He did just come out of the exam, right?”

Apparently, Keito had disappeared as he sometimes did, and this meant Karasu had a long, but fulfilling break about to come up.

“Keito. The other academy instructors are worried that you’ve disappeared again.”

The redheaded boy looked up, tears staining his face, and still more trickling out. The would-be shinobi boy was crying.

“N-n-no they’re not. *sniff* They don’t care, the only person I know who gives a damn about me is you. *sniff* And it’s not like you can follow me around and console me every time...”

Karasu was no stranger to the over-attached student, the student that would get teary-eyed when it was time to head into the shinobi world, but they always had other people to fall back on. Keito really was a unique case. Sometimes, on a particularly bad day, or after the stress of being looked at like a freed criminal got to be too intense, Keito would hide away in one of the crawl spaces between the academy wall and the academy buildings, because no one ever passed near them.

At first, Karasu would pull hair trying to find the boy, but after the first two or three times he spotted Keito leaving from the narrow corridors, he figured out the boy’s habit, and would come to comfort him.

“Keito, I know you’re probably upset. I’ve probably coddled you too much, but the jounin sensei are all better at this than I am. You’ll make friends on your new gennin team, too.”

This was all he could do today, Keito had to tough it out mostly on his own. He was graduating the academy and becoming a gennin, soon, and he needed to become more... stable, for lack of a less demeaning term.

“I know, but what if they don’t like me, what if their parents told them about my father? What then? They’ll get scared of me, just like all the other kids I live near, who run when they see me, because their parents told them I’m some kind of psychopath.”

It was a twist on a common child’s fear, ‘what if they won’t be my friends?’ Karasu knew there was no way assuring that his team would be friends with him, or that he’d get one of the more supportive jounin sensei, so what was he to do?

“Keito, I know for a fact that you are NOT a murderer. What is there to say about you other than that you, Shuurajou Keito, are a talented, positive, and friendly student, who will make an excellent addition to any team for your attitude, your ethic, and your skills. And I am positive that if your team mates had a week with you that, at the very most, they’d think you were only as crazy as the jounin you’d be stuck with.”

Keito’s frown turned up a bit, then promptly twisted into horror. Keito didn’t really know any of the other jounin, except for one, and he was damn sure that spandex-wearing maniac was off his rocker.

The pure seriousness on Keito’s face as he spoke those words sent Karasu into a fit of laughter. Of all the jounin he could have thought of, he picked the absolute worst.

“*pant* Keito... *wheeze* Almost all of the jounin are at least a little strange, but... *pant* Gai... Gai... Perhaps I chose the wrong joke to use on you.”

Keito had complained first of a crazy screaming child molester after Karasu had suggested longer laps. Then it was a crazy screaming child molester who wore green spandex and was somehow not locked up. After a little explanation, and an introduction to the man himself, Keito discovered something.

There were some people that were definitely more crazy that he supposedly was.

Keito proceeded to pout angrily, but his playful nature was back, he wasn’t depressed anymore. Ahh... the simplicity of easing a child’s mind. Definitely a fulfilling break.

“You did that on purpose, you know I hate that nut case!”

The call went out for the break to end, and both Keito and Karasu looked at each other in despair as their stomachs made their complaints known that they would rather be eating than going back to the academy. Unfortunately for both of them, they would have no lunch for the next hour and a half.

The class never was quite as enjoyable for everyone at the sensei’s expense as it was that final day when Karasu-sensei’s stomach gave more unpleasant grades to students than the man himself.

Though my predecessor has given his seal of approval, there is one thing Admin and I discussed which still needs alteration.

You have the Flaw Known Anathema, however the background does not quite cover this flaw.
It seems a bit like a filler flaw to us with this character. Therefor Admin and myself ask you to change the flaw to Special Hidden Background.

Known anathema is a possibility, however, you must agree that he is known throughout the world for this. Not just to a single group. As described at the moment, it stands that SHB is better suited for it.

Kind regards
