The Nara clan (奈良一族, Nara Ichizoku) or Nara family (奈良家, Nara-ke) is known for their intelligence, ninjutsu that entails the manipulation of shadows, and tending of deer and other forest animals.
They have kept a book with medicine preparations and effects for generations which imply they are skilled in the area of medicine. Among the medicine described in this book are the secret pills used by the Akimichi clan.

The Nara clan has a special relationship with the Akimichi and the Yamanaka clan. For several generations, members of these three families have formed "Ino–Shika–Chō" trios, named after the first part of the names of the members with the Nara members being the "Shika" in the trio. To strengthen the unity between the three clans, a member of the Sarutobi clan will give them special earrings to present to each generation head when they are promoted to chūnin after which they will swear their oaths. The earrings also symbolize that they are considered adults by their respective clans. The clan members also seem to favour wearing their hair in ponytails.

Description: The user is able to manipulate any shadow they stand on or that connects to their own shadow. In order to increase this the user is able to stretch and thin out their shadow up to 5 meters to connect to nearby people or other shadows.
The Shadows can only extend along the ground if they are under the user's control, natural shadows can be wherever they naturally are.
The user is able to send chakra along the shadow in order to perform Jutsu through it. This level of Shadow control allows the chakra to be guided towards two separate targets within it's reach for this purpose.

Description: Kage Mane no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. It's original purpose was as a skill to help delay any pursuers. Once the clan members shadow reaches the target shadow this technique can be activated and the users shadow will attach itself to that of the target. While attached the target will be frozen, only able to replicate in mirror form the actions of the clan member.

The Shadows can extend along the ground but also travel up walls as well as up other people when under the user's control effectively allowing to grab someone's shadow on a wall or to travel up a person in a more tangible shape to bind or choke them.
The user is able to send chakra along the shadow in order to perform Jutsu through it. This level of Shadow control allows the chakra to be guided towards 32 separate targets within it's reach for this purpose.
The user is now also able to weave shadows together sewing them into tendrils that can extend from the ground to function at tangible units for multiple purposes such as attack, defending or grabbing an object or person.
There have been reports of this level of Kage Seichuu grants the user some mystical insight into the nature of chakra and shadows, but seeing as Nara are a secret society not much more is known to public.

Nara Medical Library and Forest

The Nara Clan members have access to a large medical library that holds some of the clans discovered secrets about medicine and poisons. They also have a large storage of various poisons and potions they have access to. Added to this the Nara Clan hold control over a vast forest territory which they look after and where the animals would more likely than not grant them some assistance in return and where they grow and harvest massive amounts of various herbs to use as ingredients for their medicine.

Description:Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. To perform the technique the clan member will first bind their target using the Kage Mane no Jutsu technique. Once the target can no longer move, they form the needed hand seal to initiate this technique. The clan member uses their shadow to form a hand which will creep up their opponents body to their neck. Once the hand reaches the neck, it will constrict in such a manner so as to strangle the opponent. However, the clan member will need to be careful. If their target has a lot of chakra, they can turn back the shadow hand and prevent it from binding their neck.
This techniques does C-Rank Damage to the target every turn without any option for defense.
As long as the target pays 6 Chakra per turn this technique will do 0 damage.
If the target pays 12 chakra they are able to undo the technique as a whole but the user can then start it up again as long as the target is still bound by the Kage Mane no Jutsu.

Description:Kage Nui is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. To perform the technique the user will first form the needed handseal to extend his shadow. The user will then change the handseal to cause the shadow to emerge from the ground in tendrils. The tendrils can extend and whip about and the amount of chakra the user puts into them makes them strong enough to pierce nearby targets.
This technique does B Rank Damage to all targets.

Description:Kage Yose no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. This technique uses the shadow threads to extend from the surface towards an object.
These threads can be used to bring any number of desired targeted objects back towards the user or another target within their shadow's reach. This technique can also be used to fire these objects as projectiles.
This technique is not strong enough to manipulate any object above size 4.

The tendrils can then be used to fend off attacks or grab onto a person to bind them in place or stop them from attacking. The tendrils can handle up to B-rank attacks when blocking.
